Ruthenium Oxide Sensor

Ruthenium Oxide Sensor - Temperature Range 50mK - 4.2 K

Ruthenium Oxide Sensor - Temperature Range 50mK - 4.2 K

The thick film RuO2 chip sensor has been mounted in a gold-plated bobbin. The bobbin is designed for optimum thermal contact between the sensor and object being measured whilst minimising mechanical strain on the sensor that can alter calibration after thermal cycling. The sensor is self contained, terminating in a miniature connector. A flying lead is supplied with the mating part of the connector.

Temperature Range

The range of calibration (both types) is 25 mK - 4.2 K.

Calibration guaranteed from 50 mK upwards, but below 50 mK will require secondary thermometry i.e. nuclear orientation equipment.

RuO2 sensors are available as a 30 point calibration (ICErus01) and a generic version (ICErus02). The generic sensor is thermally cycled and tested for reproducibility, using a generic curve, with the 30 point calibrated sensor.

I have worked with IceOxford for a number of years building, developing and repairing cryogenic systems, and I have found their Cryobitz supplies section excellent in both availability and speed of response.
