Another LEMON leaves Witney - June 2012

ICE succesfully installed a DRY 'LEMON' cryostat at NRC in Canada. The system comprised of a DRY VTI, a cryogen free version of the 'Orange' cryostat but with superior specifications, and two top loading probes. One probe was for low temperature measuremnts at 1.5K and the other is for 800K measurements. The system is fully automatic with remote gas handling, ideal for beamline use.

In addition, ICE has won a contract at Los Alomos in the USA for a DRY 'LEMON' cryostat with a 7T split pair magnet. After installation the high temperature probe was left at base for 6.5 days withouit problems leading to comments about the system being AWESOME!
