Dual Axis Rotator

The ICE Dual Axis Rotator achieves automated rotation of the chip 180° about angle Θ and 100° about angle ω with 1° of accuracy. In addition, the position of the sample holder can be adjusted by ± 30mm vertically using a sliding seal. The sample holder can be mounted onto our range of sample rods and cold probes, including our rotator probes to provide rotation about angle φ. 

There are options for a 24-pin or a 48-pin* LCC chip carrier which provide a direct copper thermal link to the chip, housed in a copper surround to achieve quicker cooling. 

Protection from electrostatic discharge using our ICE SAMPLE SAFE package can be added to the 24-pin chip carrier, providing extra protection for delicate and valuable samples.

*Minimum sample holder diameter of 38mm required for the 48-pin chip carrier option.
