Rotating Chip Carrier

The ICE Rotating Chip Carrier achieves automated rotation 180° about angle θ with 0.1° of accuracy. The sample holder can be mounted onto our range of sample rods and cold probes enabling 360° of rotation about angle φ and ± 30mm vertical motion via a sliding seal.

There are options for a 24-pin or a 48-pin* LCC chip-carrier which provide a direct copper thermal link directly to the chip, housed in a copper surround to achieve quicker cooling. Protection from electrostatic discharge using our ICE SAMPLE SAFE package can be added to the 24-pin chip carrier, providing extra protection for delicate and valuable samples. The operating temperature range for the sample holder is 0.3K to 420K. 

*Minimum sample holder diameter of 38mm required for the 48-pin chip carrier option.
