ICE AAV Advanced Anti-Vibration Frame

The ICE Advanced AV Frame is made up of three separate frames. One frame to support the cryostat, one to support the cold head and the third to support the pumping lines. The pumping lines are also supported by a 1 tonne concrete block and isolated from the frame using rubber bellows. Suspending the cold head or probe separate from the system isolates mechanical vibration minimising it to <100nm rms at the sample.
