June 2015 - ICE Delivers another innovative solution with its new DRY ICE 70mm 1.5K & 300mk product being shipped to McGill University in Montreal.

This system allows temperatures below 290mK to be achieved within 4-5 hrs on a large (>55mm) sample space inside an 8T superconducting magnet whilst also incorporating 2 x low attenuation silver plated BeCu coax lines. The system will be installed in Professor Thomas Szkopek’s lab later this month. The He3 insert can also be easily removed to allow 1.5K experiments to be run in a 70mm sample space. A further upgrade to a dilution fridge is also available for this system.

The system is supported by a novel counter weighted frame, this enables the customer to manually lift the cryostat 500mm.
