ICE Customer Cracks 58-Year-Old Puzzle on the Path to a Quantum Breakthrough
ICE customer Andrea Morello and his team have made a significant discovery that could shape the future of quantum computers and advanced sensing technologies.
Professor Morello, alongside Dr Vincent Mourik and Dr Serwan Asaad at University of New South Wales, has demonstrated the ability to control the nucleus of a single atom using only electric fields. This breakthrough confirms a theory first proposed in 1961, which had remained experimentally unproven for over half a century.
This achievement marks an important step forward in quantum science, opening new possibilities for more efficient and scalable quantum devices.
