Intern Success Story: JP Thomas at ICEoxford
At ICEoxford, we value new perspectives and aim to empower the engineers of tomorrow. Our recent intern, JP Thomas from Bath University, brought just that. A student pursuing an MEng (Hons) in Integrated Mechanical & Electrical Engineering JP made valuable contributions to the team during his time with us.
Joining our Sales & Marketing department, JP quickly gained practical experience. He played a key role in helping customers find the ideal ICE cryostat for their research, with a particular focus on our popular DRY ICE 1.5K VTI range. He also learned the intricacies of preparing detailed sales quotes and supported successful bids for international cryogenic projects. His rapid grasp of the complexities of cryogenics was noticeable.
Beyond Sales and Marketing, JP also spent time with our engineering department. This gave him insight into the engineering and manufacturing processes behind our High-Performance Cryogenic systems, offering a broader view of ICEoxford's operations and culture.
Our aim for interns is to provide a solid understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects of our business. JP certainly broadened his skills in customer relations, sales, and marketing strategies, and gained further insight into the application of cryogenic systems in scientific research, including the ever-growing demand for Cryogenics for Quantum Computing.
We hope the experience JP gained at ICEoxford will be a strong asset in his career. We wish him well and look forward to seeing what he achieves next.
