ICEoxford delivers DRY ICE 1.5K Cryostat to ICFO - Mar 2019

ICE has recently delivered a DRY ICE 1.5K Cryostat, complete with an 8T superconducting magnet, to the Instituto de Ciencias Fotónicas (ICFO) in Barcelona. This advanced system has been designed to support cutting-edge research, combining high performance with flexibility for a wide range of experimental applications.

A key feature of the system is the integrated double-axis sample rotator, equipped with wiring to a 28- or 44-pin chip carrier. This enables rapid sample exchange while providing electrical protection and reduced noise, helping to ensure reliable and high-quality measurement results.

The sample holder is constructed from non-magnetic materials and incorporates a direct thermal link, delivering optimal base temperature and enhanced cooling power. This design ensures stable and efficient operation, even under demanding experimental conditions.
